i was in the house when Lamar beat Baylor. Brought a couple of friends and we had a blast. Could happen again......

I was a true freshman suited out on the field for that game. I still remember as if it were yesterday. That was Larry Keenan and staffs last year, many of those guys went on to some big time jobs. Side note, Mike Singletary was playing middle linebacker for the Bears that year.

Wasn't Lamar still 1A back in 81? I thought they went 1AA in 82.

Coach, it was 80 or 81. I was there starting in 82 and we were 1AA. Our conf champion used to play in the Independence bowl when we were division 1.

Yeah we had this discussion like a year ago, I think we were still 1A in the Baylor win.
