I watched some of the game but what was the reason SFA only scored 24 on Mcneese? I mean is McNees's defense that good?

SFA did have over 500 yds total offense against mcneese---3 turnovers

 

Old Dominion (4th yr program) set an FCS record this year for total offense in one game --824 yds... that record could be in jeopardy this weekend

ODU is in their 4th season and they set the record while here at ole' LU we are trying to set the record for fewest rushing yards gained in a season with x number of attempts. ODU and LU trailblazers to say the least.

Like I said earlier, the SFA offense CAN score, but their biggest issue is turnovers. SFA leads the nation in the number of turnovers so far this season with 31.

I agree it looks like some quit playing when they realize Sam wasn't going to go away.

 

I still think it was the play calling right before half. 21 seconds and they're going for the hail mary, 7 seconds and another hail mary, but 1 second and you run off the clock. To me, that's accepting defeat. The score was still respectable at half.

 

I totally agree. When the coaches have quit on the team how can we expect the team not to quit? You didn't happen to watch/listen to our game against Central Arkansas did you? All we did was run the ball in the fourth quarter when we were behind and still had a chance to win the game. It was solely Rayray giving up and trying to keep it close. I knew EXACTLY what he was going to say after the game "we really competed, and we won the second half" and that is exactly what he said. He doesn't seem to understand that the goal is to win the game! (&%%%*^&%^$$#^$&*

I'm more of a realist. The SFA defense is decent, and their offense is one of the bests in the nation, even if they do give up the most turnovers in the nation.
