Each coach votes on their 7 best teams, excluding their own team. 1st place is given 7 points, 2nd place 6 points, and so on. By my math, the votes look like this, or roughly like this since I don't know the exact number:

Here's what Lamar did last year:

 

Against the top 3 (SHSU, UCA, McNeese):

Points For: 7

Points Against: 38

 

Against the other 4 teams:

Points For: 26

Points Against: 31

 

Against the bottom four LU went 1-3. This year the defense should be at least as good as last year and the offense can't be any worse. I can't see why they can't win 3 conference games this year.
