Berry is looking really sharp and makeing quick desisions and the line is giving him time in the pocket. The WR are making plays and the running game looks to be improved. I agree, but our OOC schedule is comparable to others in the conference. One of the things I like about our schedule is that our games against FBS teams are sandwiched in between the D2 / NAIA teams. I also like the four conference home games this year. Below is a comparison of conference schedules looking at D2/NAIA and FBS opponents. University D2/NAIA Opponents FBS Opponents UCA 2 1 Lamar 2 2 McNeese St 1 1 Nicholls 2 3 Northwestern St 1 2 SHSU 2 1 SELA 1 1 SFA 1 1 UIW is included in the D2/NAIA list (UCA, SHSU, SELA) All other UIW opponents are sub DI / transitioning to DI opponents. Houston Baptist is included in the D2/NAIA list (SHSU) HBU, playing a 7 game schedule this year, will have SHSU as their inaugural opponent. All other HBU opponents are sub DI. In addition to scheduled D2 teams, Abilene Christian is playing DI-FBS New Mexico State and DI-FCS Prairie View A&M...no SLC opponents this year other than home and away games with UIW and an away game against HBU. While Gaskamp is remorseful that he will not be able to travel with the team and participate on game day he is confident that the team is well prepared and his staff is up to the job. The former UH QB backup didn't get the starting nod due to his "former UH QB backup" resume' stat. It would appear that the Cougars aren't the class of the NCAA as you would have led us to believe. Where was this type of reasonable thinking when he transferred to LU? ^^^^ And I quote, "That being said, Dausin will most likely be your starter come opening day. I said about 8 months ago that any of our QBs would start at LU. (We still have 6-7 on roster right now so I won't be surprised if the others move to other positions or transfer) especially since we brought in O'Korn and Cosh." My simple point is that getting on this site and playing Mr. Big D*** isn't very becoming. He was at UH, and solely because of this, you believed he would most likely be our starter. None of us mind you or anyone from other schools talking on this board. Playful banter and joking around is what makes these sites fun. However, don't act like a six-year old by only using this forum as a way to trash the university with which it associates.
