Will we get slammed by sam?

In Huntsville? Short answer, yes! But, if you look for improvement and not just focus on wins you will seen a better game than in years past. I'm just looking at the direction and using a loved one as an example (not brother lol) last year he was 5'8 and now he is 6'0. I really didn't notice a drastic change because I see him at least every week. I noticed when looking at family pictures. I think if we would look at this football program the same way it might change how we view positive changes. 3 years ago we gave up 150 + to Flanders as a freshman. He is a senior now and I'm sure has dreams of playing on Sundays. We have to take the running game away and make Brian Bell beat us and he probably will but I like our chances versus him.

The last two seasons, LU play SH late in the season and went into the game with their quarterbacks and running backs beat up because of a leaky offensive line. This year, the O Line is better, the QBs are not beat up, and the running game is better. I think LU will be competitive this year.

Lamar is a better team than in years past, and they are pretty much all healthy. If Lamar keeps the mistakes down, they can make it competitive. If they start out like they did against Grambling, they gonna get killed. I have a question. Should Lamar slow down on offense ? or keep up a faster pace?

I expect Lamar to lose this game, but how competitive they are against SHSU should give us an idea how Lamar will do in the conference. I think a better question is can Lamar go 3-3 in the conference? They have 4 home games and 3 on the road so the schedule is favorable for Lamar.

wish this game was at home! on the road Sam 35 - LU 17. we need to make a good showing and have the confidence to come back and beat Central Ark at Homecoming.

If we can score 49 on Eastern Washington at home (previously ranked #2 in the FCS), what makes you think Lamar will hold the Kats to only 35 at home?

Woot, absolutely know doubt, history and even this years performance to date says SHSU wins handily. That said, we can dream of an upset!! That said, you are more gracious than most and one of the few SHSU fans that still come on here at all. In my opinion you are always welcome. As for 5 Pennies, if I was the owner/moderator of this board he would be gone!! Any "foul gutter" word you could use to describe him would be a complement to his character. If he were a Lamar Alum and was on the SHSU board talking this kind of trash, I would be lobbying to have his diploma pulled as I wouldn't want that kind of embarrassment to the University!!

It's always possible, no doubt about that. But like you said, unrealistic. Massey Ratings had the game predicted at something like 50-14.

As for Nickels, to each his own.

Delusional is thinking that just because school A scored more the 35 on school B, they are a given to score 35 on school C. That is "Kat" logic, I guess? Weird, a university who mis-spells the word "Cat". Keep posting pictures....lol

Whoa, I've totally never heard that one before.

What happened to puddin tane? We didn't always agree. Well, hardly ever but it was fun reading his comments. Bring back or come back puddin!!

i'm back from being deleted and lost in bigred cyberspace

lessee

- c'mom woot...dont be a nickels..you're stooping to his level

- imho, i dont think we score very much...Sam's ahead of the rest of the SLC...we struggled to score against La tech (who i think would be middle of the road SLC this year)..didnt do squat against okie states 3rd string

-we gave up alot of rushing yards to La techs backup rb, let grambling rb have a 100 yd game..flanders may have a field day.....hell, stick 5 guys on him...4 on sincere, let the remaining 2 cover...make bell pass...

-EWU defense sucks, their offense is light years ahead of ours..

The easy answer is yes. Lamar will get slammed along with all the other Southland conference teams when they play SAM. The question i want the answer to is can we show 'some' skill and ability on both sides of the ball against a national championship contender?

Can we score 3 tds on offense and hold SAM to less than 49 points? I believe we can
