Not hating on Nicholls, just the fact that we are now behind them. I hope something positive happens in the way of LU winning some big SLC games to change that before the season is over or we just may be going backwards. Quote

Nichols faltered at the end but still beat a bad Northwestern team and lost to what i consider a down SFA because of their defense. I dont think they deserve any votes. Nichols will have a chance to prove how good they are this weekend when they play MCNeese. Lamar's conference schedule stinks. Starting out with 3 of the best 4 teams in the conference is tough. They have a solid road win over Missouri State, who's much better than their record; destroyed Southern and played reasonably well at UAB ... they did play a bad first half at Nicholls, which cost them, but played lights out against us ... they have athletes, size, and are very well-coached ... they still have a ways to go but "bad" isn't a word I would use to describe them. Everybody in the league has improved, or at least stayed the same, with the exception of maybe SFA ... that said, they're loaded with skill and have a double digit win over the No. 2 team (at the time) in the country. You can't take anybody lightly this year. Quote
