Really nice season for the Lady Cards but it comes to an end tonight with a loss to Southern Miss. The Cards fell 75-60. Southern Miss actually built a 20 point lead in the second half that Lamar whittled down to 12 with under 10 minutes left in the game. But, after a time out Southern Miss came back out and retook control of the game and built their lead back to 18 as the teams went back and forth with Lamar making no serious run at the lead again. Jamiesha Edwards led the Cards with 19 pts and 2 rbs with nice games by Gia Ayers (16/5/4) and Kiandra Bowers (10/4/0). Dominique Edwards led the Lady Cards with 8 rebounds for the game.

Congratulations to the ladies on a great season. This could be a real building block for Coach Harmony and her staff for next season.

Congrats to Coach Harmony and her staff on a very good year. This team accomplished more than any of us could have expected. She has a very good class coming in next season and also bringing back Dom, Jemisha, Caroline, Shauna, Bowers, Bethany, and then supplementing them with the five new freshman and Lira. Next season there should be more depth, which is what I believe finally caught up to them this season, and a good returning core. Should be a very fun time in the Montange.
