The passion had left Joe Okafor.

Two years earlier, Okafor was exuberant on national signing day when he officially committed to Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-6-inch, and then 220-pound, defensive end from Bellaire High School, near Houston, was a raw but talented prospect that had imagined himself one day becoming a star in the Big 12.

That dream never materialized as Okafor recorded one tackle in two seasons with the Cowboys. By the time spring practice rolled around in 2012, Okafor had been moved to offensive tackle and was listed as third-string right tackle on the pre-spring depth chart.

"Once I left Oklahoma State I had lost my love for football," Okafor said. "It took a while but being here at Lamar I grew to love it again."

I have to say...after paying close attention to him since he became a Cardinal, IMO, his game last week vs Sam was the best game he has ever played for LU. Edited by BigNasty92
