coachacola Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Tic Price nabbed three high school players and one from a junior college on Signing Day, Wednesday, highlighted by Port Arthur Memorial forward Dorian Chatman. Chatman joins guard Nick Garth, another Houston Hoops AAU team product out of Cy-Lakes in Houston, forward Terrance Hubby from Mansfield and 6-10 center Christian Kennedy from Daytona State College. They will take the scholarship spots of seniors Donovan Ross, Tyran de Lattibeaudiere, Anthony Holliday and Sebastian Norman. Robin Harmony had a bit of a recruiting coup in her second Lamar recruiting class by beating out Seton Hall, Florida Atlantic, South Florida, Rice and North Texas for four recruits, two of whom are from Texas and two from Harmony’s home state of Florida. Chastadie Barrs a 5-foot-6 guard from Desoto, Khali Pippins-Tryon, a 5-9 guard from Duncanville Kiara Desamours, a 5-10 guard from Fort Myers, Fla. and Deja Roberts, a 5-8 guard from Miramar, Fla. all signed Wednesday. http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/inthecards/2014/11/12/lamar-basketball-teams-have-successful-signing-days/ Quote
Big T Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I think that this could be a solid group for the guys. But what Harmony has done on the women's side.... Just wow! I honestly think that she could be building a dynasty here at Lamar. The amount of talent that she has brought in and what she has done with the talent already here is astounding. And the things I am hearing about this squad... We could be in for another banner year. Quote

Big Red Pride Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Looks like both programs did a great job in the early signing period. I like the number of HS kids signed by Coach Price. If these guys work out it bodes well for the long term future of the program. Quote
