Lamar receiver Mark Roberts has been named third-team All-America announced the Associated Press Wednesday evening. It is the first All-America honor of Roberts' career.


One of the nation's top big-play threats, Roberts became one of the elite receivers as a senior. A preseason CFPA Receiver of the Year candidate, the former Houston transfer lived up to the preseason hype in 2014. Roberts became the first receiver in program history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He finished the year with 46 catches for 1,157 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Roberts Named to Sports Network All-America Team


Lamar senior receiver Mark Roberts has been named to the 2014 FCS All-America team announced FCS Executive Director Craig Haley. Roberts received third-team recognition, and was the only Southland Conference receiver named to the three-team squad. It is the second All-America squad that Roberts has been named to this season.
