coachacola Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 The LU athletic website has finally updated the online football roster. 4 quarterbacks are listed: Steadman Bell Joe Minden Carson Earp Brett Cox At linebacker, Anthony Beard is still on the roster and Cameron Hampton, the transfer from UT, is also listed. Offensive lineman Chance Allen is no longer listed. KABrother88 Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Hobbs was on the roster last season but I don't recall him playing...believe he was a walk-on at UH. Wheeler was one of the mid season transfers with fellow WR Brendan Langley and Wheeler. Believe he was running with the 2's during spring ball. Chance Allen was penciled in to start at tackle opposite Justin Brock but left the team during spring. Another big OL departure is Seth Blendermann. Looks like a few freshman will see lots of playing time this fall. LB Melbrodrick Matthews is no longer listed but we still have 19, yes 19, LBs listed. A couple may be changing positions but I see no reason to not RS all 5 incoming freshman unless they just prove you can't keep them off the field. KABrother88 Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Also of note the 2014 Freshman who officially received a RS: WR - Martell Hawthorne TE - Tate Smith OL - Chase Woods OL - Blaine Myers OL - Barrett Myers DL - Larance Hale DL - Seth Adams LB - Reggie Long DS - Zach Roberts DB Ladamien Coney is listed as a SO-RS on the roster but being part of the 2014 class he has to be one or the other. Guessing he was a RS as well and they just didn't roll him back from a SO to a FR from when the last time the roster was updated bumping everyone up a classification.
