“We lost our starting point guard, so in Lincoln’s case, there’s going to be an opportunity for him. Obviously I’m not just going to give him a starting spot — he’s got to earn it — but all indications show he has a great opportunity,” said Price, who has had success before with junior-college transfers.

 

And I think he has a high ceiling. I think he’s got a great future. If he’ll come in and be committed to being as good as he can be and spending a lot of time outside of his studies in the gym, we feel like it will be beneficial both for him and us.”

That seems to be the plan for Davis, who headed back to Texas earlier this month to get started at Lamar. He might’ve found the perfect fit now — four schools and three states after first leaving home.
