According to the website Nobowls.com Lamar is one of 4 SLC teams projected to make the FCS playoffs after Week 6

They have Lamar pegged to play Eastern Washington on the road in the first round.

Others in are McNeese who they have as the #6 seed and with a bye the first round. They would play the winner of a 2014 FCS Playoffs rematch of Sam Houston and Southeastern Louisiana.

would love to see this happen and somehow get a home game in the playoffs. On another note, on that website it talked about Portland State beating UNT 66-7. I wish we could somehow get teams like UNT, Tx State, Ark State, ULM, ULL (again), NM State, New Mexico and La Tech (again) on our schedule. We are recruiting against these schools.

LU is scheduled to play UNT in 2017.

:biggrin:Well, looks like we are getting some respect nationally. It has to help in recruiting.

Is the UNT game a done deal? Plus we play U of H next season who is losing a bunch of starters from this year. I really believe we may have a chance at those guys considering what we should have coming back next year.

No way in hell the lovers of all things MVFC and Big Sky let 4 Southland teams in.

You are probably right, any SLC team with 2 conference losses should consider themselves on the "bubble" as far as getting in the playoffs. If McNeese loses 2 SLC games, they could be really sweating it out due to strength of schedule since the LSU game was canceled. That said, any SLC team with just 1 conference loss should be in.
