coachacola Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Although the ink from the signatures of Lamar University's newest additions has not yet dried on National Signing Day, the Cardinals announced they will host the annual spring game – the Crawfish Bowl – Saturday, April 16th. The event, which signifies the end of spring practice every year will kick off at noon from Provost Umphrey Stadium. Big Red fans will have the opportunity to spend the day on the LU campus cheering on the Cardinals. Fans will have an opportunity to also see the LU softball team in a Southland doubleheader as well. The Cardinals will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with the first game beginning at 2 p.m. followed by the second game at 4:30 p.m. The Cardinals will open camp Monday, March 7, and go through April 16th, but will take the week of March 14-18 off for spring break.
