Four first downs?!!! FOUR!!!! Kade ran the ball THIRTEEN TIMES IN THE FIRST QUARTER??!!! IF UH has a weakness it's their pass defense! HOW STUPID CAN THE PLAY CALLING AND OFFENSIVE SCHEME IN GENERAL BE???!!! I don't think we attempted a throw further than 10 yards??!! I think we ran ONE screen pass!!! OMG!!! WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO OLAY SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL WITH UH!!!!!!! I think a 3rd grader would know that!!! And I agree, it appears that we have a lot of talent...NO EXCUSE FOR THAT SORRY OF A SHOWING!!!!!!

 

Our punt game stinks and it killed us (among other things) last week!! And Earp...wth?!! I thought he looked scared last week, he was worse this week! How can you have his physical attributes and still play scared??!!!! Smh!!

 

At least it seems the secondary played well. But, again, can't stop the run. I really don't know if I can watch another full season. It's soooo painful. I agree, the kids seem to be playing hard but their leaders (coaches) aren't doing them ANY favors!!

This was sickening. Obviously I wasn't expecting a win against the #6 team in the country but I at least thought the offense would show some sort of life. We didn't even cross the 50 for God's sake. Our best drive was 7 plays for 25 yards that got us out to the 44 yardline. Are you shitting me?!?! I hope to God Woodard is gone by season's end. He has padded his record with a bunch of pansies and he's still almost 10 games under .500. Hell Nicholls has been the laughing stock of the SLC for years and look what they have done in year 2 with a new coach.

 

I actually thought the defense has shown improvement from last season but the offense has put them in so many bad situations already that the scoreboard doesn't reflect it. I feel like the just need to go ahead and burn the aussie's redshirt to see if he's better than Carranco cause if our offense is gonna suck we damn sure need more than a 32 yard punt after our 3 & out.

I knew this was going to be ugly but to gain a lowly 73 yards of offense? That ain't good. The offense went to sleep in the second half of the game against Coastal Carolina but they didn't even show up in Houston yesterday. When you look at what Nicholls did against Georgia losing by 2 and Central Michigan beating Oklahoma State (even though they shouldn't have had that last play to win) but it they had lost it would have only been by 3. Troy gave Clemson all it wanted losing by 6 you have to figure Lamar isn't as good as we thought. Then you look at other top 25 teams and see that Ohio State beat Tulsa 48-3 or TAMU smashing Prairie View 67-0 any of the other beating FCS schools took at the hands of the top 25 then we don't look quite as bad. Except for that 73 yards of offense thing. That was pitiful, I would certainly have thought we were better than that. But, apparently not. Let's see how the season unfolds before we start screaming for Coach Ray's head on a platter but if it doesn't get any better than this I agree a change is warranted.
