Skinny1 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Why I don't like about the NFL is that they'll fine a guy for putting an authorized number, sticker, or some other minor thing on their uniform, but if a player protests the national anthem then they're a-ok with it. Players can protest on their own time, but when they bring it to work (which is what these players are doing) then it's going to hurt the NFL. Ratings are already down so it's just stupid on the part of the NFL to let this happen. Same with college. LU doesn't make money on football, it's mostly some big donors, students and ticket holders paying for it. If LU lets the players do things that the people who support the program don't like then it's going to kill the program. It's not like LU has tons of fans to begin with. LU let Pat Knight crap all over the basketball program and take the money and run. Woodard isn't that different. He won't rock any boats. He'll schmooze the right people and just barely win enough games so he doesn't get fired. That's the LU way! I agree, Ray will ignore it until folks forget about it or if the administration forces him to do something, and believe me that won't happen. Along the same note, the East Carolina University President is in hot water with the school's Board of Regents for defending players that kneeled during the National Anthem there. Quote
