Game has started on an equal level. Through the first four minutes game is tied at 11. CSB has some quality players and has the height advantage on the front line.

Halftime and LU is down by three points CSB 36 -LU 33. Overall a solid even game. Lamar is behind in rebounds, have two more fouls than CSB and have what appears to be their usual eight first half turnovers. Lamar has a total of six players with two fouls including Bosha and all three of the post/forwards that have played so far. Foster did not play in the first half. Lamar will need to come out and up the intensity in the second half and stay out of foul trouble. I would say that the height differential is what has kept CSB in control of this game through the first half with a six rebound lead and a 5 -1 lead on offensive rebounds.

First couple of minutes into the second half and CSB has the early advantage pushing out to their biggest lead of the game at 43-35. Lamar has to get their offense going and defend the three.

At the under twelve minute timeout Lamar is down by eleven. Lamar is having trouble finishing at the basket as they are not able to get the shot muscled through the defenders. Also not getting the foul calls on CSB when they try to go up through the defender.

Under four minute timeout and CSB is still up by eleven. Difference is made three pointers and Lamar free throw misses. CSB also is solidly ahead in rebounds. Little scoring for Lamar by the guards with a total of eight points between the three main Cardinal guards.

Lamar drops their first game of the year to CSB 85 -LU 73. LU is now three and one on the early point of the season. Next game Wednesday evening.

Bosha was fouled hard on 3 different occassions. It looked like he was being targeted. His quad and his wrist hurts. I hope he doesnt have any sprains or a break in a bone in his wrist

Went to the game, best team won, IMHO.

 

CSB exposed Lamar's weaknesses and took advantage of them.
