geezer
The Lady Cards will play TCU Thursday in the opening round of the Women's NIT. Game time has not been set yet. Looks like the ladies got a 12 seed, but not sure as the seeds aren't listed on the bracket.

geezer
Lady Cards are down by one point at the end of the first quarter. Concern for Lamar is that Barrs picked up two fouls about half way through the first quarter. Will have to wait to see if she returns during the first half. geezer
Ladies are down by six at the half, TCU 39 - LU 33. Barrs returned to the game in the second quarter but picked up her third foul with just over five minutes left in the half and Lamar down by one at the time. TCU built an eight point lead before the Cards got the last basket of the half to close the gap to six. Again Barrs has three fouls, Kinard has two fouls and O'Dell has two fouls. TCU has five total fouls and no one has more than one foul. TCU is out rebounding Lamar 21 - 12 including a 6 - 5 edge in offensive rebounds. geezer
In the third quarter the ladies make a strong start to the half and tie the game up at 50 - 50 before the fouls quickly pile up and Lamar winds up down by seven at the end of the quarter. Bad news for the Cards is that Kinard picked up back to back fouls to go out with four fouls, Barrs picked up her fourth foul on an offensive foul with three tenths of a second left in the quarter and O'Dell has three fouls. geezer
Final score TCU 80 - Lamar 68. The ladies couldn't overcome the foul trouble and cold shooting in the fourth quarter as TCU took a seven point lead at the end of the third quarter and opened it up to as much as a fourteen point lead. Cards will need to find some one to replace Bowers next year much like a few years ago when their strong post player graduated and it was maybe two years until Bowers joined the team and really started contributing.
