lu cards Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Looks like south Alabama is coming to Beaumont Friday Quote
Dracula Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Congratulations to the Lady Cards for not only making the WNIT Tournament but also hosting a first round game. If Lamar takes care of business, the ladies may be hosting round 2 as well. This brings up the question, is it better to play, in the more competitive WNIT, or get your brains beat out by having to play a, 31-1, 1 seed Baylor team? Have fun Abilene Christian, where do you want your bodies sent? Quote
geezer Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Definitely go Cards. Also noticed the SFA got a bid. Has the SLC ever gotten two bids before? Quote
Skinny1 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Looks like south Alabama is coming to Beaumont Friday South Alabama is a member of the Sunbelt Conference and they finished 7th in the regular season, but beat the number 3 seed, the 2 seed, and lost by 1 point in the championship game. They are 9-9 in conference, 24-10 overall, and 8-6 on the road. Sounds like a solid team. Card fans let’s get 5000+ butts in the seats Friday night to see the Lady Cards win. See you BRIs there. Have fun Abilene Christian, where do you want your bodies sent? I think they were projecting LU as a 13 seed if they the tourney. If correct we would have gotten a 4 seed. As for ACU, they better hope they use Southland refs who let them shoot 30+ free throws. Quote
baller Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 The WNIT is not part of the NCAA like the NIT.There is a bidding component combined with RPI etc.that is a part of who hosts and who does not.Congrats to Marco and others for helping to give us another home game. Quote
