Skinny1 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Men tip-off at 7pm at the Montagne Center, while the ladies travel to Thibideaux, La. Good luck Cardinals! Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Come on LU MBB and WBB, let's get off on a great start and finish the game strong! Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Kopp is in the starting lineup. Let's see if this will help the team get off to a quick start. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Another slow start for the Cardinals. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Looked up the ladies game stats and LU is up by seven with about seven minutes left inthe game LU WBB 67 - Nic 60 Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 That would be a good win for the ladies! Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) Lamar winds up down by three at the half. Nic 26 - LU 23. Thank goodness Nicholls is shooting poorly or with Lamar's 14 first half turnovers the Cards could be much further down. Cards aren't shooting great either but the lack of a half court offense, Lack of a good point guard. Turnovers, 14 and not that many of them really forced, but just sloppy ball handling. Glad to see Nickerson getting a little playing time. Still wonder about Sohail and Morrison. Edited January 9, 2020 by geezer Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 LU is playing sloppy with 14 turnovers in the first half. Quote
Skinny1 Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 14 turnovers is ridiculous for a half, especially this late in the season. Quote
Skinny1 Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 Wonder why we all of a sudden decided to play Nickerson tonight. First meaningful conference minutes. Quote
lamarfan360 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Lady Cards win 84 - 78. Congrats congrats ladies! Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Either Muoka isn't 100% or Price has recognized he isn't a scorer at this point and is finall willing to try something different. Quote
geezer Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 As frustrated as I get with Price's coaching, tonights loss is on the players in my opinion. Not nearly enough energy from the players. Turnovers because of a just plain carelessness. No intensity on defense. Only thing I will blame on Price for this game is not playing Sohail (as he has always brought intensity) unless he is hurt, which I haven't heard anything about and the others on the bench. I hate watching players play below their ability. Quote

I hate watching players play below their ability. I don’t blame the players, I blame the coach! First it is his job to have the players ready to play physically, mentally, and emotionally. The coach recruited these players, so he is responsible. He is the adult in the room. I agree that Nicholls, as a team, wanted to win more than Lamar. This is nail #3 in Tic’s coffin. This is based on he has to get to the conference tournament to have a chance at keeping his job. I feel the most losses Lamar can have and expect to get there is 8, and we just posted #3. Quote
