Big Red Super Fan
I have noticed Lamar Athletics facebook page has been doing giveaways, videos, and other stuff that are pretty cool. I am glad to see such a proactive mentality, it makes me as a fan feel more involved. Check them out at www.facebook.com/#!/lamarathletics. Guest CardAmbassador
Yeah I've noticed it too. I hope they keep doing it. They need far more student fans on facebook than they currently have. When you can message students on facebook about football and basketball games they're more likely to go. We were talking about some of the promotions here: http://bigredinsider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=5&id=23486&Itemid=169 Thanks for posting and joining. geezer
The SGA needs to figure out how to get more student rear ends in the stadium.
Vroo
They need to figure out a way to get rears in the seats and people excited about the games. Sometimes I swear I hear the crickets.

Sometimes I swear I hear the crickets. Vroo, the sad thing is that LU has really good attendance compared to the other SLC teams. Just think if you went to any of these other schools, they have trouble getting fans out to the games even when they're winning. We're not good and people came out for this game in large numbers. jdcurran235
I would still love to see a 10k stadium expansion. I think the home game with mcneese might call for that expansion.

Easier to do when the town is usually 3-4 times bigger than all the other towns, but I digress.

However, UT-A is in a much larger area with sometimes less than half of the support Lamar or even, in your case, SHSU have. The fact that they are increasing the size of their basketball arena from a capacity of 4,200 to one that holds barely twice that (if I'm not mistaken) proves that even their admins know the lack of attendance is definitely a factor. We've all talked about it before, UTA is a blip on the Dallas market, they are behind UNT, SMU, TCU, and probably even DBU.
