robertobutler Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Apparently there could be a WAC reboot - rumor has it that SFA, Lamar, Sam, and Abilene Christian have been invited to join a new WAC conference. And it could be an FBS conference from what I'm told. Quote

Only NM State of current members play football. Then there is the travel as the conference members are from states like Washington, California and Utah. I found where the WAC added Tarleton State July 1, 2020. One interesting note on Tarleton State is their MBB Head Coach is Billy Gillispie. Edited October 24, 2020 by lamarfan360 Quote
geezer Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 If Lamar were to move to any other conference travel would be an issue. Lamar hasn't consistently competed for conference championships in a long time, so I think that would be the first priority for athletic department. Quote
