Skinny1
Trevin Michael (RHP) started for Cards. Still in the game in the bottom of 5th. Lead off hitter walks, single by next Texan hitter, then next hitter sacrifices runners to 2nd & 3rd. Next batter hits a single, Texan score a run to make it 6-2. Next 2 batters ground out to pitcher and shortstop, inning over. After 5 innings: Cards: 6 - 5 - 2 - 3 LOB Texans : 2 - 6 - 2 - 7 LOB Edited March 10, 2021 by Skinny1
Skinny1
Top of 6th, Lamar goes down 1-2-3. Bottom of 6th: New pitcher for Lamar, RHP Burkendorff. 1st hitter for Texans lines a single to left field, booted by center fielder and runner to 2nd base. Next batter grounds to shortstop, sacrifices lead runner to 3rd, next batter walks on 5 pitches, the next Texan hitter flies out deep to center, both runners tag and advance. Tarleton scores and now trails 6-3. Texans get another hit to score their 4th run. End of 6 innings, Cards lead 6-4, but the Texan are making this game too interesting. geezer
After slowly getting back into the game Tarleton explodes for six runs in the seventh to take the lead and wins the game 10-6. Michael pitches another strong five innings before exiting with a 6-2 lead, but like many times last year the bullpen failed to keep the lead. Skinny1
Sorry I had to stop updates. Had to leave for the SLC Basketball Tournament in Katy. Was hoping our relief pitching woes that past few years were behind us. Maybe not, we will see!
