Little cool tonight for baseball at 56 degrees and steady wind out of the north.

Quirion takes advantage of the out flowing wind and gets a two run homer to give the Cards a two run lead after one inning.

Bears 0 - 0 - 0

 

Quouron hits 2 run homer to deep center field.

Bears went down 1-2-3.

2 walks & a hit loads bases for Bears in top of 3rd with 1 out.

 

Single to center scores 1st Bears run.

Michael gets out of the 3rd inning bases loaded one out situation only giving up the one run. I think that was his first bad inning of the year.

End of 3rd:

Cards explode for 4

Top of the fourth another challenge for Michaels as the first three batters get base hits but, Michaels limits the damage to only one run with back to back strike outs to end the inning leaving the bases loaded.

Lamar's pitcher has to have a high pitch count due to loading the bases twice.

Cards do nothing in the bottom of the fourth and UCA goes down 1-2-3 in the fifth. Lamar gets lead off homer in the fifth to extend the lead to 7-2.

Michaels gets a ground out to open the sixth for UCA but then walks the next three batters. Buckendorf replaces Michaels, gives up a run on a fielders choice for the 2nd out and strikes out the next batter to end the UCA sixth. Lamar up 7-3.

Hopefully we are closing with Jack Dallas. He has been been pretty solid so far this season.
