Guest CardAmbassador Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Notably we gave Adren Dorsey a second chance and he has been good for us. Just pointing out the one exception we have. Others haven't necessarily gotten in trouble, they just haven't put any effort into playing for our team. Quote

Guest Cardinalrule Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Coach my deal is we have done this before. Those players did not work out after LU gave them a second chance. Anthony not only has a drug arrest, but wasn't even on the team because of injury. Did the drug arrest nullify his medical scholarship? Maybe this forced him to transfer and good ol LU is going to help him out. If he was too injured to be on the team, then why would we give him a scholarship? Are our Dr's better than Ok St. Dr's? Are we going to rebuild him and put him back on the field...I just don't understand this signing. We have had a quality university with quality alumnae, we don't need to water that down with undeserving students or student/athletes. I know, virtually every other university does it but that is a poor excuse. Quote

Cplatt Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 These are the type of kids we need to get moving forward. Good athletic Freshman to mold and coach up to reach full potential. Signing day is a month away, do we have any more recruits like this under our belt? Lets get these guys on campus, keep them and build a contender. We have top of the line facilitites with plans on mkaing them even better. We have a large fan base and could get bigger with a winner and we have a master plan of going FBS. This has to attract HS kids. This signing class needs to be majority HS kids. We need to steal some talent from the big boys and that can be done with a plan. Cplatt Quote

For some time, the 6-foot, 200-pound Raleigh held on to a HBU offer, waiting to see what else would come up. Recently, he sent over a message.. "Lamar offered me last Tuesday and I took a visit there this past weekend. I'm still open," the message from Raleigh read. Two days later.. "I just committed to Lamar."
