Late local time tipoff of 9:00 PM. Probably will be a very difficult as CBU may have their star freshman back from injury. This kid was a good scorer before the injury and CBU struggled while he was out, but nothing like Lamar's struggles have been. Hopefully some more of Lamar's players are back tonight.

It might help but it is a shame that he couldn't get an extra redshirt year with the injury. Does he have three years after this one with the covid year?

I asked him if he was red-shirting and he said no he wants to play now. Coach Brooks said he was a sophomore but I believe he is a junior but reclassified as a sophomore due to COVID.

I believe what I heard was a wrist injury, do you know if it was on his primary shooting hand or his off hand and what kind of injury it was?

It was his right wrist and he is right handed. On a side note, Nickerson may be back tonight. He has been ill with Mono.

Off the subject a little, but I noticed Davis only played 18 minutes tonight in the ladies loss. Does anyone know if she got injured or why she didn't play more?

Roberts picked up his second foul at about the seventeen-minute mark. This may get ugly quick. It appears that Harrison is out tonight as Ledet came in for Roberts.

Considering all of the illness and injury issues few if any are probably in shape to play a lot of minutes without a rest and considering all eight available have played already, Lamar probably will have some strange line-ups.

Cards with four forwards and four guards make it through the first half without any serious foul trouble. Catt and Roberts each have two. Roberts picked his up early and avoided picking up the third even though he played at least close to the last ten minutes of the half. Bad news for the Cards is they appeared to play a zone to try to protect against picking up fouls, but were unable to adequately guard the three-point line as CBU made ten first half three-point shots. Neither team mad a free throw. Catt shot the only two attempts for Lamar. Other, potentially good news is that neither Roberts nor Adams have been able to score like they normally can. Hopefully one or both will get hot in the second half. Smith is leading the Cards with eight with eight followed by Ledet with seven. Catt has four points, but McClure has zero. Edited by geezer

And our no defense, defense coupled with cj Roberts ball hogging kills our momentum. Oh well
Not sure but it seems like Lamar's defense problems is a lack of skill and quickness especially when you watch McClure.

Plus, some teams know how to pass and play team basketball and some teams like us dont. We are an EXTREMELY poor passing team. Anyway, defense is mainly about effort. They are getting open shots on almost every possession. We are poorly coached, have very poor fundamentals, cant shoot and cant defend. Other than that we are ok

There's no way in hell this team should be that bad - he had pieces to work with. Can we just admit that this hire was a colossal mistake? Born just made the popular hire, and I was hopeful it would work out but it hasn't. That COVID b******t won't cut it either.
