geezer Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 (edited) Relief pitching in the top of the eighth, has a rough outing so far. Leadoff hitter reaches base on an error, followed by a double to score one and then multiple more hits before the ninth batter of the inning becomes the first out. Sam gets a total of seven runs in the top of the eighth to reclaim the lead 9-3. Will take a big comeback for the Cards to win this one. Edited March 20, 2022 by geezer Quote
geezer Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 Lamar scores no runs in the eighth or nineth as Sam wins the last game of the series. Cards fall to 5-1 in conference play but are still sitting atop the southwest division. Cards travel to Corpus Christi for a mid-week game before going on to UTRGV for the next conference series next weekend. Quote
