Weekend Baseball; Pacific, Oklahoma and Baylor

Game one from Norman, Ok versus Pacific, Cards are up 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh giving up a run in the third before scoring four in the sixth and two in the seventh. Cards have given up a leadoff homerun in the bottom of the seventh.

Lamar wins 13-2 over Pacific.

Middle of the 6th, Lamar leads OU 12-4.

Douthit walked the leadoff batter in the sixth and was replaced by Dallas. Dallas allowed that runner to score before getting the third out. Lamar got a run in the top of the seventh, but in the bottom of the seventh Dallas gave up three unearned runs on an error, a couple of hits and two wild pitches. Going to the top of the 8th Lamar still on top by a score of 13-8.

Lamar gets another run in the 8th but gives up three to make the score 14-11 in favor of Lamar. Dallas gets the first batter out, walks the second and then gets the third batter to fly out. Mize comes in in relief of Dallas, walks the next batter then issues a home run to score three, walks another batter before getting a strike out to end the inning.

Cards hold OU scoreless in the ninth to end the game and get the 14-11 win. Next up Baylor on Monday

Cards fell at Baylor Monday evening 5-1 to finish the weekend. Play HBU at home Wednesday before a home weekend series versus SFA to start the second half of conference division play.
