Everything was fairly quiet until the eighth. Mize gave up a leadoff hit and was replaced by Dallas. Dallas got the three outs for the inning but not before allowing the inherited runner to score and give up another run of his own for SFA to regain the lead 3-2. Cardinals' bats do the job in the bottom of the eighth to retake the lead 4-3 and Dallas pitches a scoreless ninth for the win. With the two wins Lamar sits two games back of Sam Houston whom they play next weekend. Cards will need a sweep next weekend to retake first place over the Bearcats.
