geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Cards taking on NAIA Lady of the Lake. Game tied at the first media timeout. Quote
geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Nearing the mid-point of the first half, Lamar is up by 5 points, 21-16. Quote
geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) Lamar leads by eight at the half, 35-27. Not an impressive start. Cards have five turnovers, three from the point guard (Buckley), are being out rebounded by five and are shooting less than 40% against a lower division school. geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 No sign of Hamilton, Thirdkill or Anderson. On the one hand if they aren't 100% against a lesser opponent why play them, but I would like to see what Lamar might look like with a little bigger line-up. Quote
geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Lamar comes out with much better intensity and extends the lead to sixteen points through the first four minutes. Lamar 49 - LOL 33 Quote
lamarfan360 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Calmese and Pennebaker are impressive freshmen! Quote
geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Lamar up by nineteen with eleven minutes left in the game. Quote
geezer Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) Final score 91-56 Lamar. Calmese scored 31 and Pennebaker had 21 to lead the Cardinals. Lamar came back in the second half to lead the game in rebounding. Cards still need to improve protecting the ball finishing with twelve turnovers. Edited December 6, 2022 by geezer Quote
