After being down by seven points at the 11:50 mark of the half Lamar comes alive and out plays Nicholls the remainder of the half to take a 40-26 lead into the break. It will be interesting to see if Lamar can come out of the half with a similar intensity. Lamar has nine assists and three turnovers through the half. geezer Posted March 2, 2023 Author Share Posted March 2, 2023 Cards wind up falling by four points 64-60. The usual problems, turnovers, shot selection and got out rebounded. At least two time one of Lamars guards gave up a potential layup to pass the ball to one of the bigs that was unable to get a shot off and score. Several other times the guards tried to drive to deep into the Nicholls defense and lost the ball or threw up a terrible shot. Most encouraging thing of the night was the times that Anderson, Yamanuchi and Thirdkill were in the game together. Time to root for the baseball team and see what happens with spring football.
