geezer
I will wish for a couple of things for the coming season. First that the three new guards can compete right off the bat. Two the returning guards have somehow, really improved. I think one of these wishes have to come true for there to be any real improvement. lamarfan360
I have heard Jayden Barrs may redshirt. BB Knight is a long, 6-6 SG with a 40 inch vertical who can shoot a high percentage from the 3-point line. He set a high school record from treys made for a season and career. JaSean Jackson is a PG. His HS team was the state runner up his junior season and as a senior Karen Wagner HS won 5A State Championship and he was named the San Antonio POY. The returning guard I am most excited about is Cody Pennebaker. He is 6-5, has a 40 inch vertical and scored 1,500 points in his HS career. His HS team also won a state championship. I have heard Lamar is going to play more uptempo on offense and press more on defense. This will play to the strength of the guards. Lamar has three forwards that are 6-10, one 6-9, two 6-7. They are all long and lean. Built to run up and down the court. I believe Janko Bulajic is going to have a good season along with a healthy Adam Hamilton. Hamilton, Bulajic, Catt and Anderson all missed several games last season due to injuries. If we can stay healthy this could be a fun team to watch. I am not about to predict a won loss record but I am excited about the possibilities.

geezer
I think Lamar might have had a better season last year without all the injuries to the big men, but based on the results from last season Lamar doesn't deserve a higher preseason ranking. This year's squad must earn respect from the rest of the conference and their local fans for that matter.
SportsGuy
Lamar WBB roster missing Portia Adams and Emma Imevbore who transferred to Arkansas State. Any idea what happened to Adams?
lamarfan360
Lamar WBB roster missing Portia Adams and Emma Imevbore who transferred to Arkansas State. Any idea what happened to Adams? Wow, that is a huge loss as Adams averaged over 13 ppg as a sophomore. She was on the roster that I checked out earlier this year.
