Unfortunately, I feel the same. Rossomando made the remark that he would rather the bye week be this week instead of next week, to get some players back before playing SELa.

Lamar gives up a big play on the second play of the game, but then holds on to force SELA into a field goal with 12:55 left in the first quarter. SELA up 3-0.

Cards come back with a pretty good drive, but also wind up settling for a field goal. Game tied at three with 8:17 left in the first quarter.

Unless Lamar's defense wakes up and decides to play, this could be a long day or a real shootout. SELA makes another quick drive this time finishing with a touchdown for a 10-3 lead with 5:01 left in the first quarter.

Lamar has to generate some pressure on the quarterback or this could get ugly!

Defense makes a big play recovering a fumble near mid-field and returning it for a touchdown with 2:09 in the first quarter to tie the game at ten.

Lamar defense gets another big play, with an interception near mid-field. Offense goes three and out, but a good punt puts SELA deep in their own territory.

Lamar takes over on downs near mid-field and offense responds with a nice drive resulting in a Bowden touchdown run from four yards out with 7:23 remaining in the first half for a 17-10 lead.

Defense holds SELA for a quick out. Cards get the ball back and go seventy-four yards for another touchdown, but miss the extra point to take a 23-10 lead with 2:54 left in the half.

Everything is going the Cards way as they get another interception winding up with the ball on the SELA 37, immediately followed by a 37 yard pass to Rhea for another touchdown and a 30-10 lead.

After a good return and a big pass to set up a SELA first down into the red zone, the Cards come up with another fumble recovery and run out the clock for the first half. At the half Lamar leads 30-10.

The Cardinals get the ball coming out of halftime. Would be huge if LU could get another score.

With about 2 minutes left in 1st quarter, A&M-Commerce is leading UIW 3-0.

After a couple of possessions for each team, SELA has a good drive and gets a running touchdown with 1:44 left in the third quarter. Score now 30-17. Lamar needs to answer with at least a good drive to eat up some clock.

And SELA has gone all in on stopping the run and so far winning the line of scrimmage.

SELA has another solid drive ending in a touchdown pass with 9:29 left in the game to draw within six points. Score 30-24, Lamar has to move the ball and at least get a field goal as SELA has really moved the ball consistently against the Cards defense.
