With a two and two record after the first weekend of play, Lamar returns to Lake Charles for another multi-team event. Highlight of the weekend will be a Saturday afternoon game with NCAA Champion Oklahoma. We will see what Lamar pitching can do.

Cards drop the first game of the weekend to Central Arkansas, 4-5. All of the scoring action took place in the fourth inning when Lamar scored four runs in the top of the inning and gave up five in the bottom of the inning. Lamar stuck with their same pitcher (Wardlaw) through the whole game.

Lamar gets the revenge win over Central Arkansas in their Saturday game to move to 3&3 on the season and will play Oklahoma starting in about a half hour for the second game of the day.

Lamar is down by three runs to Oklahoma through three innings. Lamar has had only one baserunner by way of a walk and brought in their second and third pitcher in the bottom of the second inning.

Lamar falls to Oklahoma 8-0. Lamar had only one hit and two walks offensively and had one error on defense. Cards close out the weekend tomorrow at 1:30 versus host McNeese.
