What you guys got for this game.  Lamar now rated 41 by Massey, second in the SLC behind UIW and followed by Nichols, SE La & McNeese in that order.  Tx Southern rated 106.  If LU doesn't play down to the competition, they should win by 3+ scores.  I am going with 38-13.  

Weber St ranked 19 in Massey, still in the top 25, but not in the coaches or Stat 25.  I just checked the STATS 25 poll on ESPN and it shows LU ranked 22nd.  They are tied for 31st in the coaches poll.  Rossomando is getting us some love, would like to see that progress as the season wears on with a bunch of big victories. 

I think this is one of two or three trap games left, although Lamar should not overlook anyone.  Of the remaining games Texas Southern may be the one chance for a three or more scores win.  Northwestern St and Commerce are the other two potentially should win games left.

Was there a radio show on Wednesday?  If there was, it is not yet on the Athletic website.  I really wish they would do game notes again.  They must have cut athletic staff and the game notes were a casualty of that.  

 

Texas Southern takes the opening kick off and makes an impressive 16 play drive settling for a field goal to take the early lead.  Lamar couldn't stop TSU rush offense until the last two plays at the goal line to hold them to the field goal.

Lamar offense starts out good for about three to four plays before a illegal block cost ten yard followed directly by another penalty stopped the drive.

Including the Lamar's first drive of the 2nd half they have eight penalties for 72 yards.  Lamar can't play without yellow flags flying.  The O-line can't block without holding.  This has to change.  Griffin needs to get in better shape.  I know he isn't getting much help but as soon as he comes out the offense stalls.

Lamar finally takes the lead on a Longino to Gibbs pass, but the extra point is missed.  Lamar up by three with 8:32 left in the game.

Holy crap. Rossamundo called a pass. Pigs are flying, cats are barking! 

TSU comes right back with a strong drive to get a touchdown with under four minutes left in the game.  They make the extra point to take a four point lead.

Thank you TSU for multiple penalties to keep Lamar's drive going.  Griffin gets a running touchdown with 1:05 to go.

Rossamundo took Blane Morgans offensive playbook ripped all but one page out of it.  This offense sucks

This looks like the same garbage we dealt with under Morgan and Dulz.  Why the frick can’t we find a damn coach that knows how to coach offense?!!!!  We are going to get stomped in conference.  Man, I didn’t appreciate great we had it when Woodard was here!!   I don’t care what our record is.  We’ve taken a giant step backwards from last year.  I am disgusted with this boring, awful, undisciplined, one dImensional GARBAGE!!!
