geezer Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Lamar plays at UIW Saturday at 2 PM. Do the Cards have a chance to pull an upset? Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Lamar scores with a touchdown pass with 6:08 left in the first quarter to take a 7-3 lead. Something weird today, Lamar has only run the ball twice and Coleman has only missed one pass attempt. Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 UIW responds with a three play seventy-five-yard touchdown drive. Lamar fumbles the kickoff return but then holds UIW without a score. Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Lamar starts a decent drive but fumbles again at the UIW 47 yard line. We'll see if the defense can hold again. Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Lamar defense creates a fumble for UIW with just under two minutes left in the half at the UIW 14-yard line. Lamar converts the turnover into a touchdown with 52 seconds left in the half to draw within four points as the fail to convert the extra point Score 17-13 UIW on top. Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 UIW makes a good last minute drive to get a field goal as time runs out in the half to take a 20-13 lead into the half. UIW will have the ball to start the second half. Quote
geezer Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Lamar commits another turnover in the second half and the Lamar offense can't keep up with UIW. Final score UIW 40 - Lamar 20. Didn't help that Coleman got hurt. Lamar had more passing attempts than rushing plays. Two games remaining this year. Quote

We threw it a whopping 3 times more than we ran it. They were keying on the run yet we still tried to run it 29 times…averaging a whopping 2.5 yards a carry! And our running plays are so predictable. Frustrating. (Our defense stunk too…602 yards allowed??!!?? Uggggghhhh). Quote
