geezer Posted Friday at 07:20 PM Posted Friday at 07:20 PM Men return to action at SFA Saturday with a 2 PM start. This is a chance for the Cards to revenge the home loss a couple of weeks ago. Since that game SFA has lost four more games and gotten one win against the worst team so far in the conference. SFA is still a dangerous team for the Cards as they haven't lost any players that I know of and they now have another reason to play hard in support of their former coach. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 08:23 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:23 PM Similar start to first game as Lamar gets out to a seven-point lead at the under twelve-minute timeout. Cards have been taking care of the ball with only two turnovers so far. Cards up 17-12. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 08:43 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:43 PM Lamar up by twelve at the final media timeout of the first half, 34-22. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 08:54 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:54 PM Lamar closes out the half by extending the lead to 41-24. Cards have six first half turnovers but have forced ten SFA turnovers. Lamar shooting 50% from the field for the half. Holifield leading the scoring with eight followed by Dawsey and Barrs with seven. Quote
TBonesLU Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Boy, this is seeming familiar. We’ve got to come out strong in the second half to avoid what happened the first time these two met. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 09:24 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:24 PM Eight minutes into the second half and SFA has closed the gap to twelve points, 47-35. Lamar has six turnovers in the last eight minutes equal to the first twenty. Cards have to take care of the ball. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 09:34 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:34 PM 6:55 left in the game and the Lamar lead is down to five points. Lamar turnovers plus SFA hitting four three-pointers in the last four minutes has really tightened this game up. Quote
geezer Posted Saturday at 09:42 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:42 PM Lamar up 62-56 with 3:06 left in the game. Last media time out. Cardinals up to fifteen turnovers for the game Quote
