UIW off to a hot shooting start leading 28-11 with nine minutes left in the first half.  UIW shooting 67% from the field including four of seven from the three-point line.  Lamar also has four early turnovers.  Lamar needs to clean this up fast or it is going to be a long evening and a missed opportunity.

Definitely a deep hole to try to climb out of trailing by eighteen points at the half.  41-23.  UIW winning with good shooting making ten more field goals than Lamar including two more three-point attempts and only one turnover compared to seven for Lamar.  It well take a large turnaround for Lamar to comeback.

Lamar has been climbing and are down by eight points with 7:30 left in the game.  Whereas UIW only had one turnover in the first half they have ten turnovers so far in the second half.  UIW also not shooting as well this half.

Hamilton missed some big free throws and UIW hit a couple of big three-pointers to rebuild the lead.  Lamar still fighting hard but down thirteen with just under two minutes left.

Lamar falls 73-61.  Only good news out of this evening is that NWST upset SLU so Lamar holds on to the second seed for now, but most likely will have to win both of the last two games to maintain that spot.  At this point the shame of this season is that three of Lamar's five conference losses are against three of the five worst teams record wise in the conference.

Eh, Southeasrern goes to Corpus and UTRGV to end the season.  Corpus obviously isn’t a gimme and the Vaqueros have been a Jekyll and Hyde team (but more Jekyll lately, especially last night vs McNeese).  I get your point though - a game like last night we should win would have given us a game cushion.  Also, Nicholls is now in a tie with SELA for third and we play them in the finale after McNeese.  We won at their place so I’m not sure what the tiebreaker would be with them if we split.  I guess bottom line is win both and it’s all the way to the semis at the conference tournament, split and there’s still a chance.  Lose both and not bloody likely.
