Hadn't gotten to look into our men's basketball signees until now. These young Cardinals are going to light up the scoreboard while playing Coach Brooks' brand of defense.

Now, just have to keep them from flying the coop so they can fly high with into the postseason.

Looking at last year's roster with what we know is gone and the two freshmen that I see coming in how many more players do the Cards have left to fill.  Gone, Marmolejos transfer portal, Jackson graduation, Hamilton graduation, White graduation, Dawsey graduation.  On the roster but didn't play this past year, so totally unknown what their impact may be, Gambrell and Jeffries.  What about B. B. Knight, he was injured and even before that he wasn't delivering what he had the year before.  Is he coming back?  Looks to me like there are one or two more potential spots to fill.  Am I missing something?

Hamilton and White do have another year. I have heard that they are coming back for one more year. Knight was hurt when the season started and tried to play through the injury. I’m sure his injury affected his play in the few games he played. I believe he will be back, too.

If Hamilton and White are in fact back, LU has to be considered a legit contender for the SLC title, especially if we can add in one of our final open spots an experienced point guard.

That will be up to those that haven't suited up yet as usual.  If I remember correctly, Gambrell was a big-time scorer in high school.  Christian Thomas averaged a double-double in high school and the latest signee Lowe's press release doesn't say much about scoring at minimum you would expect him to be good facilitator and defender.  Also, assuming Knight is back he and a couple of other returners haven't lived up to the expectations yet although Knight in particular showed signs that he could.

BB is a good spot up but wasn’t a shot creator. I wouldn’t trust freshman to carry the scoring load on a team with NCAA tournament expectations/aspirations. Experience matters most.

Looks to be more of a SG than PG like Dawsey. He should take AJ’s place and help replace some of the scoring.

All we need now is veteran PG to take Jackson’s spot.
