Mike Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Matt Bergeron will arrive on campus next week. I was told by a close family member that after a hard off-season of workouts with a D1 training facility and numerous phone contact with current LU QB's Ryan Mossakowski and Caleb Berry that he's packing up and heading to Beaumont next week. He'll be rooming with Mossakowski in July classes begin. Good luck Matt and we look forward to covering you for the next 4-5 years. Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 So I added him on Facebook right after signing day. This guy is as pumped as can be about getting to campus and wearing the Red and White, I really like seeing that. None of the other recruits I've followed (and I've followed several) have been as enthusiastic as Matt. I think just his presence in the lockeroom and on the sideline alone will be a big positive impact on our team. Quote
Mike Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Just spoke to Alex Ball who said that he'll arrive on campus July 5th and he'll be rooming with Garrett Drake. He said that he's very excited to get moving and can't wait for the season to begin. Quote
Mike Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Made contact with both Michael Handy and Michael Hargis tonight. Handy said he'll be here in July and that he's very excited and ready to take on the responsibility that his parents have prepared him for. He's also ready to live the college life and explore new things. Hargis said he'll be coming in next week and moving into his dorm on June 5th and he hopes it's in Campbell Hall. He said he's extremely excited to just start the next chapter of his life. He's ready to get a great education and play some hardcore football. Quote
Mike Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Just heard from Gee Gladney who said he'll be here the second session of summer school and that he's ready to just get here and work as hard as he can to help the team. He'll be staying in one of the dorms his first year. Quote
LU1991 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Has anyone heard when Cam Washington will be on campus??? Quote
coachacola Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Article from a few days on LU signee Darryl Waters. He's qualified and will be on campus. He may have to sit out a year and only have 3 years of eligibility, but he's appealing to the NCAA. He had offers from Memphis, Miss State and Akron but because of these eligibility issues Coach Woodard was able to snag him. http://recruit757.com/2012/05/28/757-checkup-waters-heads-for-texas/ Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Awesome I think Waters will be a beast on the defensive side of the ball! Glad he made it! Cam Washington is the other main concern now. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I agree on Darryl Waters...he looks good. I hope his appeal works out. I thought Cam was cleared to play. Quote

Guest bigred360 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I'm looking forward to all the new recruits getting on campus but the QB Matt Bergeron is a impressive young man and I think he is going to be an excellent QB in the SLC oneday and he has the leadership qualities you want out of someone in the position. I bet Hargis sees a lot of playing time as a freshman. Quote

panchovilla Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Y'all said bergeron was coming in correct? Mike do you know how he's fitting in so far? Quote
Mike t Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I follow Gee Gladney and Garrett Baxley on twitter and both sound very enthusiastic about starting the season. Gladney is starting class in July as well as Baxley. I believe Baxley has already moved to The beaumont area. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I am glad to see all the freshman reporting early. In my day no freshman came in early. Being on campus early can only help these guys...between the weights, running and a meal plan these guys can really help themselves get on the field. I'm sure the coaches can appreciate guys reporting early and getting into the program. Quote
