Mike Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I wanted to share this with you guys. LINK: http://www.bigredinsider.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=630&catid=1 Quote
Mike Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Also just to be fair LU basketball coach Clif Carroll who is a member of our forum had also generously offered to let Nathan attend one of the teams workouts and meet the basketball staff and team next week. Lamar University has some quality guys in place right now and fans should be proud of the leaders of these programs. Quote
Big T Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Wow... Just WOW! Makes me proud to be a Cardinal. Quote

Guest CardAmbassador Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 That's great, I'm really proud of these players and coaches for that type of behavior, it's what you do when the media's not around that defines an athlete! Good job Lamar football. Quote
Red Ryder Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 The best story I’ve read in a long time. Just great. Quote
coachacola Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Coach Woodard showed a lot of class by doing this. Very nice indeed! Quote

kingkat99 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Stories like this one make it hard for me to get down on the Cardinals and their staff. As a Dad of a 6 yr old little by with a different form of autism I love it when people go out of their way to do nice things for them. I know Ive trashed your coach and team on Katfans and other places but you wont hear any of that from me anymore. Great story, thanks for sharing. Go Big Red!(and i mean that unless youre playing us of course.) Quote

Mike Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Thank you to everyone for the kind words. I can assure you they didn't want or care that I posted this story but it just felt right. Negative press happens all to often to easily so I felt it was fair to share something positive. Quote
OldSchool Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 What is great about this story is that it was not set up to be a PR setup with the media.... CLASS only begans to describe the LU program coaches and staff! Thanks for sharing Mike... Quote
lualum88 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 This is probably the best thread on your entire site. I dont know your brother or you personally, but the love you have for him is one all brothers should have for each other. The only word I can say is: Inspirational. Truly. Quote
HarleyQueen Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Kudos to Lamar staff and players. Great story and thanks for sharing!! Quote
