jdcurran235
I gotta say that it is awesome that I am on the north slope of alaska. Above the artic circle and I am still able to support the cards. gotta love technology.

jdcurran235
I really think half of why we are winning this game is field position. The offense has been decent but not necessarily impressive. We have had a lot of short field.

Guest CardAmbassador
We won and pitched a shut out. Alot better than the general consensus I would say. I think some over played the significance of the ULL game. But we still have alot of improvement we can do.
Guest CardAmbassador
Nope shut out Langston for Homecoming first year. First DI shut out though. Good job guys.

We will see if we overplayed the significance of the ULL game when we start playing tougher competition. But overall a good win tonight. And our D is to notch. austin badbyrd
Quick observations: 1. Running game much improved. Sims and Garrett are beasts. OL a little better, but still needs more work. 2. Moss looked better, better decision making and more in control. He will get better. 3. Understand this was Prairie View, Hawaii will be a stiffer challenge. 4. Defense was all over PV. Good pursuit, pass rush was great. THis unit will get better. 5. Conclusion: at this point LU is better team than last year, in fact I still think this team should win at least 6 games.
jdcurran235
I agree with your assessment except for the better team than last year. Until we play SFA, I think it will be hard to tell.
jdcurran235
I just wish we would have seen a little more out of our O-line. But I do like the Garret Sims 1 2 punch. Much improved on the running game from last year.
coachacola
A lot of people were predicting a close game or a PVAMU win. I brought up UL-L because they are in the Sun Belt many people think they are barely a step above the SLC, I disagree with that. UL-M is taking #8 Arkansas to OT right now. Did Berry even play? Looks like Moss is the guy and Woodard didn't want to tip his hand. The offense ran much better tonight, they should only get better. I hope the defense continues to impress. Woodard upgraded his staff this offseason and it looks like things are paying off. Let's keep our fingers crossed that injuries stay at a minimum this year. Big T
First off Great Game it was a blast! Second while the defense is much improved they were still over pursuing the ball carriers at times and against a better team its gonna hurt them. Still great win and what a fun game to be at. BTW I liked that we ran the ball well, but I think we ran it to much. Would of liked to have seen more of Moss.
