BigNasty92 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 What a great night over all... the weather, the crowd, and obviously the win. After last week, I (like most others) really didn't know what to expect. Still much room for improvement but a cry from the debacle in Lafayette and exactly what the team and the fans needed. I am looking forward to the rest of the season! Quote
KABrother88 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Overall I came away very impressed...Moss seamed a lot more mobile than I was expecting from some of the chatter on here...does anyone have any stats?...and did Blake Chavis play?...I didn't see him out there Quote

Lamar had over 400 total offense and no turnovers. PVAMU had less than 300 yards total offense and 1 turnover. Both Sims and Garrett each rushed for 80+ yards. Don't know offhand the passing stats, but lamarcardinals.com should have the info. Quote
KABrother88 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Thought about that right after I posted...Moss was 21-30 for 224 yards...pretty efficient...says we allowed no sacks but Moss has 15 yards in negative rushing...doesn't add up...also ony one yard of negative rushing between Garrett and Sims...need to keep that up Quote

Wonder if those were the cause for his negative rushing yards? Quote
BigRedTrack Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 lamar can get down also Everything is nice except for the scenery in the background. You could buy tickets on the other side. Or we could expand the east side & make that the home side & turn the existing pressbox into luxury suites. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Moss to Soto looks like a great third and long bail us out combination. Soto can catch the ball and at 6'8" he is a big target. In this style offense, balance is a key. Last night we were balanced and I really enjoyed the game. I especially enjoyed the fight in the PV section of the stadium. I could see it from the west side of the stadium. The guy in the orange was blasting haymakers. Note to self...when throwing haymakers, don't where a bright orange shirt. Everybody can see you, especially the good men and women of BPD. Quote

I think we should build a wall. Can't be too expensive and it would significantly enhance the beautification of campus. Quote

I do understand it is an important part of the SE Texas economy and that we are on the gulf coast and that without the refineries people would be out of jobs, but it is still an eyesore. I wish we could grow some trees or put up a wall to hide it from the view of the stadium. I do believe that its got to hurt recruiting some and it seems like such an easy fix. Quote

It looked like some emptied an entire can of pepper spray during the middle of that melee, too. Good stuff. Quote
TBonesLU Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Did anyone else read in Chris Dabe's article that LU didn't allow PVAMU past the Lamar 28 the whole game (and that was on the first drive). Quote
