puddin tane Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 everyone is talking up our defense...i'm not sold I just hope we win....we lose they be giving away tickets to mcmurray Quote
coachacola Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised how easily Lamar wins this game. It'll probably be tight in the first half but Lamar will win by at least two touchdowns. The offense will be much improved and the defense will not give up 500 yards to Prairie View. Lamar's defense only gave up one big play to ULL, and that was because of missed tackles. Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I think we win, mainly because I don't think we will have as many blunders on offense and the defense should be able to hold PVAMU under or around 20 points at least. thats why I put PVAMU at 17 points. Quote
AceHigh Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Unlike last week, we should be able to establish a running game. I think Sims especially will have a good game. Also, hopefully, the QB(s) can get more WRs involved. I look for a two TD victory - Lamar 35 - PV 21 Quote

We have a ton of new faces on the offensive side of the ball. A new offense, first game jitters and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong and ULL has a pretty good FBS team. They were a bowl team last year and a very confident group. We were just not ready for a team like that. If the games could have been flipped, play PVU first game and ULL second, I think we would have been much more competitive against ULL. However, as they say, if "if and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Xmas". I think we win by 10-14 points. Just a guess, 31-17. Quote

Guest CardAmbassador Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I can't see us scoring 30+ after failing to score any points against ULL. I'm thinking we score mid 20s tops. Our defense should have a pretty good night against PVAMU though. Our team just needs to execute our playbook and we will be fine. Errors are what killed us. Quote

jdcurran235 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I hate to say it but PVAMU fans might be right. I have been looking at PVAMU and we might be in trouble. They have a lot more talent at the skill positions. Our defense might keep us in it. I am going for a defensive stuggle and LU wins 24 21. Or at least I hope. Keeping my rose colored glasses on!! As I always do!!! Quote
