coachacola
Lamar coach Ray Woodard joked with cornerback Branden Thomas after making his postgame comments last Saturday. "Six straight shutout quarters and they want to talk to three offensive guys," Woodard told Thomas, referring to the players selected by media for postgame interviews. Woodard had a point. The Cardinals' defense, which was torched for 40 points in the first half of its season opener at Louisiana-Lafayette, hasn't allowed a single point since halftime of that game.
