jdcurran235 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I have pretty well lost faith in the cards for this season. I will watch them all season, but I dont expect much. I don't think we have improved at all no matter how much CA sugar coats it. Quote
jdcurran235 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Not sure how much the weather is a factor, but doesn't sound like much. Quote
Austin Card Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 It wont let me stream the game, whoever is watching, how are we playing. At least I can listen to the game on ondemand Good , Bad and then embarrassing. The usual. Quote
jdcurran235 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 How has our defense been. Sounds like that it has not done very well. Quote
jdcurran235 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 So what do we think our problem is? Coaching? Recruiting? Attitude? Quote
nickels Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 So what do we think our problem is? Coaching? Recruiting? Attitude? I think you need to figure out what is actually working and start from there. Quote

cardinal Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 While Garrett may have been the best we had last year, perhaps the new guys have overtaken him based on his performance and theirs this year. At least in the coaches opinion and whether any of us like it or not the coaches opinion is the one that counts. Pesonally I hope that Garrett can do what ever it takes to get his job back as that will make LU better overall. From what I've seen with the overall performance of this pathetic football team...the coaches don't have a clue. Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 It sucks that this game is at 3pm I'll still be in Houston when the game starts. :( So not sure how to feel about this one. We've beat SELU for two years in a row at their place, seems like we should be able to pull out a win at home if we can get some offensive production. Be thankful you missed it. It was very hard to watch. The score isn't truly representative of how awful we played. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 and...it didnt rain a drop....STOP TELEVISING HOME GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

jdcurran235 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Are we better than last year? That is what really matters. So far I dont think we are. Our defense is better but I think our offense might have been better last year. We had trouble scoring versus NAIA. We are not going to win many games in conference play if we can't score. Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Not sure how much the weather is a factor, but doesn't sound like much. The weather was actually very good. There was a little breeze the first half but nothing severe. No rain. The crowd was pathetic and we were pathetic. Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 So what do we think our problem is? Coaching? Recruiting? Attitude? Coaching, DEFINITELY. Recruiting, possibly. Attitude...not sure. Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Bad weather. no one wants to get stuck in the rain. Especially when we are playing the way we are playing I was there. I wasn't worried about getting "stuck" in the rain. Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 and...it didnt rain a drop....STOP TELEVISING HOME GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agree!!!!!!! Quote

No, we definitely are not better than last year. Our defense might be. Our offense is horrific. We have zero creativity with play calling. Our wide receivers can't get open and/or can't catch. They have no clue how to go after a pass...half the time they aren't even looking for the ball. Our running back couldn't juke a turtle. Our o-line seems to be improving a hair but is definitely no better than last year. Our qb play has been borderline shameful. Our special teams have been awful (but we do have a good punter and good field goal kicker). Our secondary still can't cover anyone and our linemen still can't get pressure on the qb....hell, even when we blitzed some tonight we had a difficult time pressuring the quarterback. We spend so much damn time running players in and out of the game I'd be surprised if any of them know what the hell is going on!! Kevin Johnson and Herschel Simms are both way overrated. Johnson is a slow JJ Hayes with no hands. The only guys that can catch either don't play (what the hell happened to Sparks? hello!!! The kid can play!!!) Are don't get used enough (MCVEY, MCVEY, MCVEY, MCVEY, MCVEY!!!!????) And I am pissed we blew the redshirt year on some of these kids that aren't even really playing very much: the rbs': 16 and 33. And the PNG receiver. WHY THE HELL DID WE BLOW THEIR REDSHIRT YEAR JUST SO THEY COULD SIT ON THE BENCH?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 So what do we think our problem is? Coaching? Recruiting? Attitude? I think you need to figure out what is actually working and start from there. That sounds nice but we can't attempt a field goal on every play. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 they are gonna have to give away tickets and have naked pole dancers at halftime to get a decent crowd for mcMurray Quote
cardinal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 they are gonna have to give away tickets and have naked pole dancers at halftime to get a decent crowd for mcMurray People still won't show up. Aggie homos would rather go hiss at one another than watch naked female pole dancers. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 i will give credit where credit is due,, i think our deep snapper is one of the best in college football...and he's always fired up..shit, play him both ways i cant wait for the "politically correct" report card............. Quote

Guest LU 17 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Our team is bad. Those people who think our defense is good you good are wrong. 29 passes and no sacks. A poor rushing team has a 100yard rusher. You are wrong!!! There was no doubt who was going to win. Our offense look bad, defense looked bad and special teams was terrible. We need hang time on punts. A good average doesn't mean a good punter. Low punts and the other team having a 26 yard punt return average is pathetic. Punting is low and coverage is bad. Coaching was also terrible. We threw an INT before the half when we were in fg range...we suck. I am disgusted with our program. I thought we would open our offense up in conf play, but we were boring and predictable. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Oh. Yeah, I just remembered this. On one of those good SELA punt returns that was called back because of a penalty, the southeast return guy was run out bounds on our sideline. I could see him laughing. He was laughing at our team. Also, the fake field goal they attempted, caught us completely off guard. It was a good thing there was a penalty, because we would have looked stupider than the word stupider. Quote
