Guest NorthoftheBorder
Ok some of you guys who are smarter than me, how has a coaching change resulted in SELA starting out 3-0 in the SLC. Did they bring in a bunch of new players?
QB 22
How did they learn these new offensive and defensive schemes so fast and we cannot. Coaching maybe!! As Beano would say "Unbelievable!"
Guest NorthoftheBorder
Coach I thought you would have weighed in on this. CA seems to have taken a posting vow of poverty and BR360 seems to have dissappeared. Would like your thoughts on this.
Lamarcard81
Personally, I was really impressed with their QB.
coachacola
I remember reading on some forums a few years ago that the previous coach had brought in some good recruiting classes. They've always had a decent offense, it was their defense that was bad. Last year they beat Texas State at home after Texas State demolished Lamar. Just last week SELA lost to UAB 52-3 so it's not like they're tearing up the world. Two of their 3 SLC wins are against LU and NW State so we'll see where they end up at the end of the season. SELA re-started their program in 2005 so you can't really say they are still building their program like LU is.
Redrain07
Wasn't he pretty successful at the Division 2 level? I want to say he is from Delta state or something like that.
puddin tane
In a successful five-year tenure at DSU, Roberts led the Statesmen to a 47-16 record, four 10-win seasons and two NCAA Super Region II titles that included an appearance in the 2010 NCAA Division II national championship game and the 2011 semifinals. Redrain07
Well after 2014 we can look in the D2 ranks for a new coach I suppose. If Ray doesn't have us competing by then...lol
