coachacola
Avi Zaleon @avi_zaleon 4m Just got off the phone with WR Mark Roberts (UH transfer). Expect him to be a kick returner, as well as wideout for #LUfootball
Guest CardAmbassador
Kick returners are usually the most explosive guys you got. Hope this guy is good.
Big T
WR is defiantly a spot of concern on this team. There is no one outside of KJ so I'm really excited to see what he can do to help bolster this offense. And like CA said if he is a kick returner then he must have great speed and speed kills. Cplatt
With Roberts, KJ, Nelson and Ford, this WR corp will be good for the few years. I think the staff did a good job of bringing in weapons for the offense, now its how we use them. There is no excuse for poor field position and lack luster offensive series. Looking forward to Week 1. Curious to see how Rex Dausin turns out. Could be a 4 yr starter for us to build a foundation around. coachacola
The top four receivers from last year are returning: Barry Ford, Jordon Edwards, Kevin Johnson and Reggie Begelton (who was a RS freshman last year). But none of them had any eye-popping stats as receivers, only Ford had over 400 yards receiving. Michael Handy will be back this year, who played a lot in the first 3 games as a freshman before getting hurt. Add in Mark Roberts and a better offensive line and the passing game should be better. coachacola
Saw this tweet today: Dimitri Smith @Meech33 God works in mysterious ways. I'll be attending Lamar University to play football. Anyone know if this is the wide receiver from Southern Miss or someone else? http://www.southernmiss.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/dimitri_smith_802319.html
Guest bigred365
Being from Orange, I have seen Mark Roberts play several times. I know that was at the HS level but I know a few coaches and he has the potential to star at the FCS level. Will he? I think he will but we will all find out soon!!!
