    31 doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. Lamar coaching is sometimes criticized here for not opening things up but their conservative approach usually means we are close enough to win. How often have we lost the statistics and won the game?

    Looking at the stats, looks like Cards won everything but officiating. How does team that trailed that trailed much of the game shoot 32 free throws to Lamar's 8?

    If the bracket is actually seeded, the team playing #10 Abilene Christian should be #23 or the next to last team in. It looks like they may have tried to lean on geography to set first round games. Whatever, WE'RE IN!! go Cards,

    In these times of unlimited transfers, Lamar has lost some of it's better players to other schools. While Terry Anderson and Alexis Marmolejos seem to being doing well enough, the name that stands out for me is Nate Calmese. He is with his fourth school in four years and starting for the ACC's Wake Forest. I'm glad that Coach Brooks brought these guys to Beaumont in the first place

    I wondered why you would insert McCown to do nothing but the kneel-downs.

    Comparing the roster to the signing days' releases I only see three missing names; Nehemiah Borner OLB from Duncanville, Aiden White DB from Athens and Roy Thomas Jenkins QB from St Thomas and previously Kelly and Westbrook. Anyone know what happened to these guys? I left out UAPB QB Mekhi Hagens who transfer made the paper.

    I was watching Channel 12 when they offered a tease that Cards were losing an offensive player. My immediate thought was either Longino or McCown. It probably makes more sense for Longino to leave--he's out of time. Too bad it happened so late. It will be hard for him to find a good fit at this point. Interested to see what McCown can do when he finally gets on the field.

I guess we should be happy that we have the type of talent that one of the top programs in the country wants. Hate to lose him but we did get him through the transfer portal (Houston Christian)

    There was no mention of him during spring practice. Is he really coming back? We've known about the JUCO rule for some time.

    Could not agree more! Saturday night against McNeese was like a game back in the 80s or 90s. It starts with defense and this team defends. he finally has enough players keep fresh defenders on the floor at all times. Fans are starting to notice and, most importantly, care again!
