Tropical Wave heading our Way?
A tropical wave in the northwestern Caribbean is moving west-northwest towards the Yucatan Peninsula. The wave will move over the Yucatan Peninsula on Sunday before entering the southern Gulf of Mexico known as the Bay of Campeche on Monday. Once the wave enters the Gulf, development is possible. At this time, blocking high pressure will be over our region which would keep the system from heading our way.
